Malaysia Autoshow 2019 - Perodua to showcase limited-edition Bezza

KUALA LUMPUR: As the countdown for 2019 Malaysia Autoshow starts, we are receiving some exciting information. One such is the recent announcement from Perodua, the largest car manufacturer in the country.

Considered as one of the biggest auto shows in the country, the Malaysia Autoshow this year will showcase the limited-edition Perodua Bezza model. The gates of the auto show will open for visitors from tomorrow, and willful buyers of this special edition Bezza can make a booking at Perodua’s stall at the event, running from April 11 to 14. Perodua has also announced that only 50 units of this special edition will be available. The car is expected to be based on the existing Bezza variant with some new features and equipment. To recall, Perodua Bezza is available in the region in five variants with a starting price of RM 34,490.

The last added variant in the market was the GXtra Bezza, which was the replacement of 1.0 Standard G. It was introduced with an enhanced kit list that included chrome door handles and side skirts. GXtra rides on 14-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin comes with fabric seats, a polyurethane steering wheel, manual side mirrors, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, reverse sensors, power windows, dual airbags, and ABS with EBD and brake assist.

Pertaining to the oily bits, as for now there is no news available for the limited edition mill. The existing Bezza is offered with two powertrain options. One is a 1KR-VE 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that churns out a maximum power of 68 PS along with a peak torque of 91 Nm. The other option is a 1NR-VE 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that gives 95 PS and 121 Nm. In the transmission department, again two choices are offered - a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic.

The pricing details and other specifications of the limited-edition Perodua Bezza are kept under covers, and it seems like the carmaker wants to surprise us with the same at the show.
