Make your own Lexus LFA supercar in less than two hours

KUALA LUMPUR: Undoubtedly, the Lexus LFA is one of the most iconic supercars launched back in 2010 as the flagship model of the marque’s F performance vehicles. December 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the commencement of the LFA production, which only saw 500 examples in its short manufacturing run.  

The V10-powered supercar is beyond most people’s reach; even the prices for pre-owned cars currently starts at around £500,000 (equal to RM 2,704,014), Well. Lexus is celebrating the milestone of 10 years this month by giving everyone a chance not just to own LFA but also to build one for free, how? Let’s get into the details.

The Japanese automaker released a scale paper model of the real deal, for which you just need a color printer, double-sided tape, a glue stick, a pair of scissors, and a bit of patience. 

To make the Lexus LFA Paper model, first, download the high-resolution PDF template of your favourite Lexus LFA model, get its print in A3 or A4 size, cut out the vehicle without removing the tabs, and put the individual parts together with the help of glue.  

After following these steps, you will get a three-dimensional shape that resembles a real-life Lexus LFA.  The assembling will take around one and two hours to complete; being a perfect holiday activity for older children, teenagers as well as adults.

There are a total of four different designs to opt from, comprising Blue Lexus LFA, White Lexus LFA, Orange Lexus LFA Nürburgring edition, and Gazoo Racing Lexus LFA racing car. If one downloads the Nurburgring Edition. a fixed-position spoiler is also available. Earlier this year, Toyota also rolled out a similar model for its 86 sports car during the quarantine.
