MAI declares Budget Initiatives 2016 for Auto Sector
Kuala Lampur: Malaysian Automotive Institute (MAI) Budget 2016, in conjunction with the budget's tag-line of 'Prospering the Rakyat' is expected to bring a new ray of hope with its improvised initiatives. The new budget will have more job avenues, along with intensive training and measures pertaining to improvise this sector. It will have a significant impact on automotive sector influencing both domestic and global level.
MAI CEO Mohamad Madani Sahari quoted that, “to ensure a sustainable automotive industry, the proposed Budget 2016 has targeted the creation of 25,000 new jobs in the industry.” as per a report presented by Bernama.
“The Budget 2016 is designed in coexistence with National Automotive Policy's (NAP) pursuit. It is focused to bring about 150,000 further jobs by the year 2020. Developing new entrepreneurs in sales, distribution, service, repairs, manufacturing, re-manufacturing and recycling are also in the agenda” he added. The current employment count in the domestic automotive industry as per the year 2014 is 550,000.
The proceeding that will incorporates training implementation of 10,000 employees, competitive enhancement exceeding the 100 plus scale of domestic vendors, fortifying over 500 current workshops and service centers in the country.
