Lotus Evora GT410 breaks the cover, features supercharged V6
KUALA LUMPUR: Based on the GT410 Sport, the Lotus Evora GT410 has broken cover with more standard equipment and better refinement. The new Evora GT410 sits on the all-weather Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres and comes with better damping setup and more soundproofing. At the front, it features wheels measuring 19 inches, whereas at the rear they are wider at 20 inches.
On the outside, it looks pretty similar to the existing GT410 Sport, though some new colours have been added in the currently-offered range of paints. Additionally, components like side sills, roof, tailgate, side mirror caps, and front access panel are now body-coloured. Accentuating its exterior appeal are the red AP Racing brake calipers that are offered as standard.
Inside, the 2020 Evora GT410 gets Sparco sports heated seats, doors-integrated armrests and storage compartments for enhanced comfort and practicality. More features inside the cabin include a premium infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and touch-enabled display, reverse camera, air conditioning, and cruise control. For soundproofing, the company has used more insulating materials that would make the riding experience more enjoyable.
Under the hood, the Evora GT410 gets the same power mill like the GT410 Sport, features a supercharged V6 3.5-litre petrol engine that pumps out 416 PS of power and 410 Nm of torque. The power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, an option of 6-speed automatic is, however, present. With the manual gearbox, it tops the speed at 298 kmph and clocks 100 kmph from a standstill in 4.2 seconds. While with auto transmission, its top speed reduces to 278 kmph and it does 0-100 kmph in 4.1 seconds.
Being a lesser hardcore than the GT410 Sport, the new Evora GT410 price starts at £82,900 (RM 440,000 approx).
The Lotus’s chief attribute engineer, Gavan Kershaw, said “It’s still extremely stable and quick but it’s quieter on coarse surfaces and it rides ridges better, with smaller impacts. You could say it ‘breathes’ better on challenging road surfaces, which is just what you need if you drive your Evora every day.”
