Lotus Evora 400 on its Way to Showrooms

Kuala Lumpur: The early bird buyers who have already booked a Lotus Evora 400 will soon be getting their cars as the first lot have already left its factory and are on their way to respective dealers in the UK and mainland Europe. This car is promised to be one of the fastest Lotus sportscar ever offered for sale. Over two-third of the Evora 400 is new which makes it a little bit faster and dynamically more capable than the previous Evora.

Under the hood, Lotus Evora 400 is powered by a new supercharged and charge-cooled mid-mounted 3.5-litre V6 engine which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 405 hp along with a commanding torque of 410 Nm. From a position of halt, it can reach an acceleration of 100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds which is 7 seconds faster than the previous Evora S. Its six-speed manual gearbox has got a new low inertia flywheel and a redesigned clutch disc for better shift quality while the Torsen type LSD has been plonked as well. It also benefits from a high level of a standard specification which includes 370 mm composite two-piece brake discs from AP Racing.

Lotus Evora 400 weighs 42 kg lighter than the previous Evora S with a total weight of 1395 kgs which helps it to deliver a high performance along with the legendary Lotus benchmarking handling. A 'Black Pack' option gives it a distinctive look through its selected exterior panels including the roof, sills and center section painted in gloss black along with a dark headlining in the interior. Further, Evora 400 is anchored with lightweight forged alloy wheels which you can opt from yellow or black brake calipers.
