Limited-edition 2024 BMW M3 CS debuts in the US

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW CS models are exclusive, limited-edition production runs with unique styling and exceptional performance. Some examples are - M3 CS, M4 CS, and M2 CS. The recent addition to the list is the vibrant green super sedan you see here. It is a special limited-edition 2024 BMW M3 CS which takes the lineage of legendary CS models forward.

The performance-oriented sedan is a hardcore iteration of the M3 Competition and packs a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine. The said mill kicks out a whopping power of 550 PS at 6,250 rpm and a peak torque of 650 Nm from 2,750 to 5,950 rpm. In comparison to the standard M3 Competition numbers, it benefits from a power bump of 40 PS.

Mated to the powerful engine is an eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox, M xDrive all-wheel drive system, and Active M Differential. All these together enable the super sedan to run from 0 to 96 kmph in 3.2 seconds only i.e. two-tenths of a second quicker than the standard model. With M Driver’s Package as a standard fitment, the car hits an electronically-limited top speed of 303 kmph.

Among the other key inclusions of the 2024 BMW M3 CS are -

• M light-alloy wheels finished in Gold Bronze/matte black featuring an exclusive V-spoke design
• M Carbon ceramic brakes with calipers in either gold or red
• A special frameless BMW kidney grille housing red contour stripes and an “M3 CS” badge

• Angular daytime running light elements with yellow illumination
• Several carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) materials inside and out, including the front splitter, bonnet, rear spoiler, center console, interior trim, shift paddles, which make the sedan 20 kg lighter than the donor model

• M Carbon bucket seats with exclusive surfaces and stitch patterns
• M Drive Professional, M Traction Control, and M Lap Timer
• BMW Curved Display with M-specific visuals
• Several comfort features and driver assistance systems including Comfort Access, Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, dual-zone automatic climate control, Park Distance Control, Lane Departure Warning, Front Collision Warning, Speed Limit Info, and more

 Pricing for the 2024 BMW M3 CS starts at $119,695 (RM 511,401) and is slated to hit the US markets in March 2023.
