Lexus opens a new eco-friendly centre in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Lexus has expanded its footprint in Malaysia with the launch of a new showroom with Lexus Klang that began operations back in January. The new outlet is operated by PCM Klang Motor and is said to be the automaker’s first eco-friendly centre in the country.

What makes the new Lexus outlet eco-friendly?

• The store is designed with green building technology, comprising sustainable materials that have a longer lifespan compared to conventional building materials
• The furniture of the showroom is made from repurposed oil drums 
• The centre is outfitted with energy-efficient LED lighting and motion sensors that reduce energy and water consumption 

“We are excited to open the first eco-friendly Lexus showroom here in Klang and hope to pave the way for more sustainable efforts moving forward,” said Lexus Malaysia president, Datuk Ravindran K. 

“By integrating sustainable materials and energy-saving technologies into the design of our showroom, we are demonstrating our commitment to environmental-consciousness and reducing our carbon footprint” he added.

Spanned across a built-up area of 6,270 sq feet, the new Lexus store offers the brand’s usual luxury showroom experience to customers in the Klang region. The display area can feature three Lexus cars at one time. 

As for after-sales services, PCM Klang centre located in nearby Sungai Rasah is there to provide comprehensive support and maintenance for vehicles.

Not to forget, PCM Klang Motor is a part of the official UMW Toyota Motor network, and thus it also offers a trade-in facility to existing Toyota customers when they upgrade to the new Lexus model. 

Also, the customers who purchase a Lexus car from the new showroom will automatically get the brand's LexusCare suite. The standard benefits included in this suite are - roadside assistance, free services, exclusive event access, and more.
