Lexus LBX debuts as the brand’s smallest model ever
KUALA LUMPUR: Lexus has finally pulled the wraps off its smallest model ever called LBX, which stands for 'Lexus Breakthrough X(cross)-over'. The new city SUV is positioned below the UX in the brand’s global lineup and rides on the same GA-B platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross SUV.

Powering the Lexus LBX is a hybrid powertrain setup comprising a 1.5-litre three-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor. The system churns out a maximum power of 134 hp and a peak torque of 185 Nm, allowing the SUV to hit a century sprint in 9.2 seconds.

The new Lexus SUV will hit the selected markets, including Europe and Japan in Q4 2023.
