LEXUS CUP 2015: TEAM MALAYSIA bagged first position

Kuala Lumpur: As Lexus Cup 2015 gets underway at golf clubs around the country, the world's biggest golf leaderboard has swelled to include so many names to the event. In this event, team Malaysia (Malaysian Lexus owners) ruled the entire show by grabbing the winner's position, beating their Asia Pacific counterparts and became champion of the Lexus Cup 2015.

The Lexus Cup 2015 was held in Nirwana Golf Course Bali, Indonesia from 1 – 4 November 2015. Mr. Ng Say Hoe, Mr. Yap Keng Yau, and Mr. Sheo Wei Meng (all three of them are Malaysia Lexus customers) was part of the winning team in the Lexus Cup 2015, which is an annual regional customer golf event.

All the three winning team participants belong to the three different regions of the country and are champions of the annual Lexus Golf Invitational 2015. Later on, they were united to form a team, representing the Malaysia team for the final showdown in Indonesia. The champions stayed true to their resolve, progressing from home turf to beat 62 other golfers from Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, to rise up as country champion for the event.

The Lexus Cup is hosted by Lexus’ Asia Pacific Division in partnership with its regional distributors. The event was first started in the year 2012.

Four pro golfers from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA): Beatriz Recari and Azahara Munoz from Spain, Jessica Korda from the United States, and So Yeon Ryu from South Korea, visited the event and demonstrated their skills to the visitors and players at the field. They also answered few questions related to the golf and offered tips for anyone looking to improve their game.

The four-day event kicked off with a Practice Day and a Welcome Dinner, followed by the Tournament proper. Even more, at the closing ceremony of the Lexus Cup 2015 event, a Gala night was arranged which people enjoyed with delicious food served! Matthew Callachor, General Manager, Lexus International, Japan and Paul Carroll, Vice President, Lexus Asia Pacific Division addressed the event before the kick-start of Gala Dinner.
