Lee Motors Auto Care teams up with Solarvest for BMW EVs green charging solutions
KUALA LUMPUR: One of the leading distributors of BMW cars in Malaysia, Lee Motors Auto Care, has come up with green charging solutions for premium BMW EV owners. The company has partnered with POWERBEE, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of clean energy solutions provider, Solarvest Holdings Berhad.

While emphasizing the importance of sustainability in EV deployment, Davis Chong Chun Shiong, a spokesperson from Solarvest Holdings Berhad said, “To truly achieve sustainability, it is crucial to support Electric Vehicles with responsible and renewable sources of energy. At POWERBEE, our commitment lies in providing EV charging solutions powered by 100% renewable energy. With a 4.5kWp rooftop solar PV system, on average, we can generate enough electricity needed for five full charges per month on the BMW i7, equivalent to a travelling distance of 3,125 km, all powered by renewable energy. Through this partnership, we are exploring further collaborations with Lee Motors to increase EV adoption in Malaysia and ensure that the transition to electric mobility is supported with green energy.”
Solarvest is also looking forward to shifting its corporate vehicle fleet to Electric Vehicles to promote the eco-friendly deployment of clean energy solutions.
BMW Malaysia offers the premium electric SUV, the iX, in three variants - iX 40, iX 40 Sport, and iX 50 Sport, priced at RM 403,800, RM 447,800 and RM 546,800, respectively. The BMW i7, on the other hand, retails for RM 729,800.
