Lamborghini’s first NFT called ‘Space Key’ revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Back in November, Lamborghini released some social media posts around the theme “To the Moon” previewing that something related to the world of non-fungible tokens or NFTs is on the way. Yesterday, the Italian automaker officially unveiled its first NFT called “Lamborghini Space Key”, which will soon be auctioned.

Developed together with a yet undisclosed artist, this space-themed artwork is an exclusive project, limited to just five units. It is said to be a piece made up of advanced carbon fibre composite material, which the marque sent to the International Space Station back in 2019 as part of a joint research project. The material went through all relevant tests after returning from space for research purposes.

Now, this special material is a part of the Lamborghini Space Key. Each of the five units is connected to a digital artwork made by the same artist, which can be accessed through the QR code placed on the backside of the carbon fibre.
