Lamborghini Revuelto debuts as the world’s first plug-in hybrid V12 supercar
KUALA LUMPUR: The latest addition to Lamborghini's already impressive lineup of supercars is the all-new Revuelto. This is a stunning successor to the beloved Aventador that has been capturing hearts for over a decade. It comes with a number of unique and diverse firsts for the iconic automaker such as plug-in hybrid technology and advanced driver assistance systems.

Powering the Revuelto is the brand’s new naturally aspirated V12 engine combined with a plug-in hybrid system for the first time. It comprises three electric motors (two at the front and one above the gearbox) and a 3.8-kWh lithium-ion battery positioned under the car’s central ‘transmission’ tunnel.
The engine kicks out a maximum power of 825 hp at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque of 725 Nm at 6,750 rpm, while the combined output of the system is rated at 1,015 hp. Sending power to the wheels is a new 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Weighing only 218 kg, the new mill is 17 kg lighter than the unit found under the Aventador. The lighter engine combined with electrically boosted power output and carbon fibre body parts bestowed the supercar with the brand's best power-to-weight ratio of 573 hp per tonne. It accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in just 2.5 seconds and clocks a top speed of over 350 kmph.
The supercar features a sharp and edgy exterior with iconic Y-shaped elements, including massive Y-shaped enclosures for the air intakes and the headlights, Y-shaped signatures for front and rear lights, and massive Y-shaped wheels measuring 20-inch in front and 21-inch at the rear. Also part of the kit is scissor doors, hidden door handles, two large exhaust ports, and a prominent diffuser.
