KUALA LUMPUR: Lamborghini is ready to pull the wraps off the Huracan's successor on August 16, 2024 during the Monterey Car Week. Ahead of that, the Italian automaker dropped a teaser video of the upcoming supercar highlighting its high-revving engine to keep the excitement going.

The new Lamborghini supercar will make its official debut on August 16, 2024.The video begins with a nostalgic look back, featuring a Gallardo on a dynamometer. As the engine revs higher, it showcases the Huracan with its 5.2-litre V10 engine. After that, it features an electrifying light show and the roar of the engine, ending with a dramatic power cut.
The clip showcases the brand’s departure from the V-10 to the twin-turbo V-8. The Gallardo and Huracan were equipped with naturally aspirated V-10 engines whereas the new Lamborghini model will feature a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V-8 hybrid engine. While the new engine configuration is different, Lamborghini assures the fans that it will maintain the thrilling performance and emotional appeal that the brand is known for.
“The super sports car will mark the completion of the hybridization process of the Lamborghini range, featuring an all-new twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a hybrid system for best-in-class performance and driving experience,” says Lamborghini.
The twin-turbo mill will generate a maximum power of 800 PS and a peak torque of 730 Nm. Combined with three electric motors; the hybrid system will churn out a total system output of 900 PS. Power will be sent to the wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Speaking of the design, the upcoming Lamborghini supercar will come with an aggressive and edgy look, which has been widely speculated following numerous spy shots. The bold front fascia will feature sleek, narrow headlights, hexagonal daytime running lights along with prominent intakes and a central exhaust.
The cabin is likely to be inspired by the Lamborghini Revuelto, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, an 8.4-inch infotainment unit, and a 9.1-inch display for the front passenger.
