Lamborghini Aventador hits 10k production milestone
KUALA LUMPUR: It is a big day for the high-end German luxury sports car manufacture, Lamborghini. As one of its most celebrated cars, the Aventador has hit the 10,000 production mark.
The car with the 10k chassis number is an Aventador SVJ, painted in Grigio Acheso (grey); it gets Rosso Mimir (red) livery and benefits from Ad Personam interior beautifully done in Rosso Alala (red) and black.
Let's now see the nine-year journey of the Lamborghini Aventador that was filled with new models and R&D -
- Lamborghini first introduced the said supercar in 2011 in the coupe version, Aventador LP 700-4. It was powered by a high-performance V12 engine making 700 hp at 8,250 rpm. This mill was coupled to an ISR robotised gearbox that guaranteed ultra-fast shifts. The coupe could hit the 100 kmph mark in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 350 kmph. It also features a push-rod suspension system and the iconic upward-opening doors
- The Aventador roadster version was introduced in 2012. It was made entirely of carbon fibre, and technologies like RTM and Forged Composite were used, ensuring aesthetic impact and lightness.
- It was followed by the unveiling of the Aventador J at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The 700 hp 'open' super sportscar featured materials and technology that demonstrated the brand's expertise in carbon fibre technology
- In 2016, the 50-unit limited Aventador Miura Homage was introduced to pay tribute to Lamborghini Miura, the forerunner of the brand's V12 super sports cars, on its 50th anniversary
- Also, in 2016 was introduced the all-new Aventador S. Powered by a 740 hp 6.5-litre 12-cylinder mill, it features a new aerodynamic design contributing to its wholly revamped driving dynamics. It also features the new EGO driving mode
- Lastly, coming to the car in question, the star of the day, the Aventador SVJ. It rolled out in 2018 and established itself as the fastest production car at the famous Nurburgring-Nordschleife track, lapping the Green Hell in 6 mins 44 sec
- Also, in 2019 Lamborghini unveiled the one-off Aventador S by Syler Grey
