KLIMS 2024: Proton X50 Sport Edition makes a dashing appearance

KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 has officially begun at MITEC (running from December 5 to December 11 for the public), with an impressive display of vehicles. The very first model that caught our attention is the all-new Proton X50 Sport Edition.

The Proton X50 Sport Edition, based on the ​​Premium variant, showcases a sporty new avatar that will surely captivate fans. It comes with the following exclusive bits - 

• A stunning new Black Quartz exterior shade for a bold, refined look.
• A striking black and red colourway with bold shoulder body line stickers, amplifying its sporty personality.
• 18-inch alloy wheels exclusively painted in black.
• S​​porty bodykits for an aggressive stance.

• Proton side sills, adding a sporty touch to the sleek exterior.
• Wireless charger for added convenience.
• Premium carpets and interior sills, adding a touch of elegance and sportiness to the cabin.

As this special X50 is based on the Premium trim and not the Flagship, it incorporates a multi-port injected 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, which kicks out a maximum power of 150 PS and a peak torque of 226 Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

If we talk about the price and availability, Proton remains tight-lipped on the Proton X50 Sport Edition pricing, however, it did confirm that the model will hit the Malaysian roads next year.
