Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia grabs the 2020/21 Retailer Award

KUALA LUMPUR: Seems like Malaysian auto dealers are doing the nation proud with their excellent performance and hard work for which they are also being recognised. After Harley-Davidson Petaling Jaya’s ‘Best After Sale’ award, we now hear about another achievement only this time it concerns Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia.

At the 2020/21 Jaguar Land Rover Retailer Awards, JLR Malaysia has announced the Retailer of the Year for its impeccable service and dedication to customers. After scoring the highest points in two out of three categories, Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) was declared the overall winner. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the dealership.

It is the second time SDAC has grabbed this prestigious recognition, the last merit came its way during the 2016/17 JLR Retailer Awards. Back then it was named the Retailer of the Year.

Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director, Retail and Distribution for Malaysia, Sime Darby Motors said, “Sime Darby Motors has always been committed to pursuing excellence in providing world-class services to our customers. I’m extremely proud of the team at Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia. Their hard work, dedication, and passion have certainly made an impact in the automobile retail business.”

Wanna know more about the Jaguar Land Rover Retailer Awards, well every year JLR recognises the top retailers in the world for their exceptional customer service and performance. Like every year, this year’s retailer challenge began on 1st April and ended on 30th March. Before coming to a conclusion performance aspects like marketing, customer service and sales, staff training, and retailer presentation are measured for each outlet. Each of these categories has 9 to 12 different criteria. Also, this award, the Jaguar Land Rover Retailer of the Year, is considered one of the most prestigious ones in the industry.

The Synergy between the three JLR Malaysian entities - Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto Connexion, and Sisma Auto dealership was acknowledged as they topped this regional award. Sisma Auto dealerships were the runners-up.

Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia said, “We want to applaud the efforts of all our employees, particularly those from marketing, sales and customer service, who strived to put their best foot forward during this challenging market situation to drive the business. Thanks to the effective teamwork from all three departments, they have set a new benchmark that will be a tough act to follow, although I am confident that they will continue to excel.” He further added, “It is only fitting that we attribute this remarkable accomplishment to all employees of Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia.”
