Jaguar F-Type SVR Coming to Geneva Motor Show 2016
Kuala Lumpur: The all-new Jaguar F-Type SVR is set to make a debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2016 in March. This sports car is designed by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations department which is a performance division of the British automaker. This is the same division which is responsible for the iconic F-Type Project 7 which made an appearance at Putrajaya.
F-Type SVR has come as long way when it was spied for the first time in July 2015. Under the hood, it would be powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine which churns out a maximum power of 567 hp along with a commanding torque of 700 Nm. This robust engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission which sends power to all the four wheels. From a position of halt, it reaches an acceleration of 100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds along with a top speed of 320 kmph.
Towards the exterior, the aerodynamic updates include redesigned front splitter and rear spoiler along with a lightweight body shell. Moreover, its large air intakes provide improved performance and better engine cooling. Inside, it gets sports bucket seats wrapped in quilted leather along with SVR logo on the updated steering wheel and paddle shifters. Full details of this car would be revealed in the Geneva Motor Show 2016, but before that Jaguar would also be releasing a complete set of images along with some details on February 17 for all those impatient souls.
