In no doubt for their help to make Jaecoo one of the most recognised brands in MalaysiaBacked by investments in a strong dealer network, warehouse facilities, and production capabilities, the brand has quickly established itself as a contender in the crowded SUV landscape.
Part of its early success is no doubt attributed to the network and people around the brand, which is why JAECOO hosted its inaugural dealership awards, recognising 12 top-performing dealerships across the country.

Johor-based Auto Galaksi Sdn Bhd clinched the coveted Dealer of the Year title for leading in sales, with Managing Director Dato’ Desmond Tien reflecting, “This achievement reflects the unwavering trust and support of our valued customers and business partners. Every member of the Auto Galaksi family played a vital role in this accomplishment, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to setting new benchmarks in customer service excellence.”
JAECOO Malaysia Vice President, Emily Lek, shared her appreciation for the contributions of both customers and the dealer network.
“We appreciate our customers for their faith in the JAECOO brand, and we will remain dedicated to deliver on our brand promise with best-in-class vehicles and a premium ownership experience. The awards recognise our dealer network, which play a vital role in the brand’s overall achievement. We will continue to expand our dealer network, in line with our ambition to provide the absolute best customer experience,” she said.
Other recognised dealerships spanned the Klang Valley, northern, and southern regions, with southern Malaysia emerging as the strongest sales market.
JAECOO plans to enhance its dealer recognition criteria in 2025, incorporating Customer Service Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) metrics to further drive improvements.
JAECOO’s rise coincides with a record-breaking year for Malaysia’s automotive industry as a whole. Spurred by a surge in new vehicle launches and market entrants, the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) raised its Total Industry Volume (TIV) forecast for 2024 to 800,000 vehicles.
Building on the strong momentum of the J7 and C9 models, JAECOO is setting its sights on 2025 with plans to introduce more models.
February will see the launch of the J7 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid SUV designed to offer attainable luxury while being efficient.
To showcase its stand out feature, JAECOO has planned a cross-border long-range fuel challenge drive this month, demonstrating the vehicle’s ability to travel through Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand on a single tank and charge.
With the potential rise in fuel costs due to the expected removal of petrol subsidies this year, the arrival of the J7 PHEV is timely. It stands out as one of the first relatively affordable PHEVs to enter our market.
