Isuzu Malaysia launches D-Max 1.9L Standard model

KUALA LUMPUR: After Maxus Mafia 9 MPV, we heard about another car teaser concerning the local market. Unlike the former which is a Chinese-bound EV, this one is a popular pickup from Isuzu, the D-Max and it has already made its entry into the market.

Yes, Isuzu Malaysia has launched the new Isuzu D-Max 1.9L Standard.

Price and Variants

The new standard variant is offered in two trim options, one with a 6-speed manual and the other with an automatic transmission. The two now retail for RM 1,500 more than before.

Every purchase is accompanied by a five-year, 150,000-km warranty.

Exterior

The new Standard showcases several visual updates compared to the previous-gen version. Part of the list is -

• Body-coloured door handles
• Body-coloured tailgate handles
• Reverse camera at the rear
• Halogen reflector headlamps and bulb-type DRLs (6 MT model)
• Bi-LED projectors and LED DRLs (Automatic model)

Interior

The reverse camera added to the Standard model (along with the Auto Plus, Premium, and X-Terrain variants) sends its feeds to the new infotainment system. Similarly, Isuzu had made several other revisions to the pickup.

• Two USB ports at the front – a Type A and Type C; on at the rear

The Standard D-Max, however, continues to carry forward many features which along with the new ones make the vehicle the perfect choice for urban youth. Part of the list is -

Engine

Powering the Standard trim is a 1.9-liter inline-four-cylinder turbo diesel engine generating a maximum power output of 150 PS at 3,600 rpm along with a peak torque of 350 Nm from 1,800 rpm to 2,600 rpm. Both the 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options come along with a selectable four-wheel drive system.

Despite being the entry-level model, the D-Max 1.9L Standard model benefits from an array of safety and security features that offer complete peace of mind to the owner. Part of the list is -
