Isuzu D-Max Low Ride 1.9L 4x2 manual launched in Malaysia - From RM92k

KUALA LUMPUR:  Isuzu Malaysia has expanded its D-Max lineup by launching the D-Max Double Cab 1.9-litre 4x2 Manual Low Ride pick-up truck.

This Isuzu is targeted at urban businesses, service providers, and fleet operators, with an aim to offer cost-effective transportation without compromising functionality.

A key feature of the D-Max Low Ride is its lower loading deck, which sits 78cm above ground—5% lower than the high-ride version. This consideration makes loading and unloading heavy items easier, while the spacious cargo bed can handle up to 930kg.

Powering the workhorse is the venerable 1.9-litre RZ4E-TC Blue Power engine, which delivers 150PS and 350Nm of torque, available between 1,800rpm and 2,600rpm.

Known for its reliability and fuel efficiency, this engine also benefits from a low road tax rate. The six-speed manual gearbox provides strong acceleration in lower gears and efficient cruising with overdrive in the top two gears. A gear shift indicator helps drivers maintain optimal performance and fuel economy.

Despite its practicality, the D-Max Low Ride doesn’t skimp on design or comfort. The front bumper, finished in body-coloured Splash White, features integrated fog lamps with daytime running lights (DRLs), while halogen headlights come with a follow-me-home function. The truck rides on 16-inch alloy wheels fitted with 215/70 R16 tyres.

Inside, fabric seats are designed for long-lasting comfort and easy maintenance. The steering column adjusts for both tilt and reach, and the instrument panel features large dials and a 3.5-inch multi-information display.

The truck also comes with power-adjustable door mirrors, electric windows, and speed-activated central locking with an override button add to the convenience. Entertainment is basic and is provided by a single-DIN audio player with USB input, while a 12-volt socket ensures devices stay charged.

Safety is not forgotten, with the D-Max Low Ride boasting an ASEAN NCAP 5-star safety rating. The Ute includes Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Hill Descent Control (HDC).
