Is the recently launched XC40 Recharge Pure Electric doing well in the Malaysian market?
KUALA LUMPUR: It was in mid-March this year that Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) introduced the all-new XC40 Recharge in the local market. Back then, the all-electric version of the XC40 crossover created quite a buzz for its looks, high-end features, and powerful yet sustainable performance.

The company aims to deliver a total of 100 units of EV to its owners by 30th April 2022. Thus, making sure its customers experience minimum waiting time for the locally-assembled XC40 EV. Here we’d like to add that the XC40 EV is Malaysia’s first CKD EV, and from our country, it is exported to other ASEAN countries like Thailand.
Coming back to prompt deliveries, the automaker, on 23rd April 2022, handed over the keys of the new XC40 EV to 65 of its owners. Thus, slowly meeting the target of completing 100 deliveries by the end of this month.
