KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is the powertrain configration of the 2023 Hyundai Grandeur?

As per sources the 2023 Grandeur will be offered in four engine options - a hybrid 1.6-litre turbo four-cylinder petrol, a 2.5-litre NA four-cylinder GDi, and two 3.5-litre V6 units.
  • How many pre-orders have the new Grandeur received?

With the unveiling still a few months away, the automaker has already received 60k pre-orders, all coming from South Korea.
  • The all-new 2023 Grandeur will mark the arrival of the sedan’s seventh-generation model which is making its way into the market after a long gap of six years with the 6th gen model making a debut in 2016.

Hyundai has finally launched the first image of the upcoming 2023 Grandeur and reveals a lot about the sedan. So, let’s check out what the Hyundai’s flagship sedan has on offer -

    • Hyundai first launched the Grandeur sedan back in 1986 and the upcoming model looks inspired up the original car a lot
    • The car’s exterior showcases what Hyundai call a ‘Seamless Horizon Lamp’ which accentuates its wide stance

    • Part of the sedan’s front setup is a full-width light bar, the brand’s signature parametric jewel grille with integrated LED headlights
    • The side profile showcases an elegant sense of style with elements like a single character line, lightly flared wheel arches, doors with a distinctive crease in the black, retractable door handle, and the iconic prominent quarter glass near C-pillar from the 1st gen model

    • The car runs on significantly large 20-inch wheels
    • The rear is no less with an ultra-thin light strip for tail light
    • The car’s wraparound cockpit gets single-spoke steering, something again borrowed from the 1st gen model
    • There’s no dearth of screens inside with inclusions like a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a touchscreen for climate controls

    • The centre console fits quick access buttons/dials and air vents
    • Being a flagship model, the Grandeur sedan comes wrapped in premium materials only, part of the kit is read wood, naturally dyed Nappa leather, aluminium, and anti-bacterial leather at various touchpoints
    • Adding to the car’s premiums is a comprehensive ambient lighting system, front seats with distinctive headrests, and rear armrest integrated control panel

Though not confirmed, the sources tell the 2023 Grandeur will be offered in four engine options - a hybrid 1.6-litre turbo four-cylinder petrol, a 2.5-litre NA four-cylinder GDi, and two 3.5-litre V6 units.
