Hyundai Malaysia launches extended warranty programme

Hyundai Malaysia launches extended warranty programme

KUALA LUMPUR: Good news coming all the way from the Korean automaker Hyundai. Its official distributor, Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) have introduced an Extended Warranty Programme for select models with expired manufacturer’s warranty, including TL/LM Tucson, AD/MD Elantra, LF Sonata, TQ Starex, and DM Santa Fe. The said models shall not be 8 years older from the date of manufacturing with a travelled mileage of under 300,000 km on the 5th year from the date of purchase.

The sole purpose of Hyundai’s newly launched Extended Warranty Programme is to assure its customer’s peace of mind as their vehicle completes 5 years, that is when the manufacturer’s warranty ends.

Under the Extended Warranty Programme, the revised warranty will function just like a new car’s warranty, however, it will be subjected to yearly renewal. It will only cover 30,000 km mileage a year.

Mr Low Yuan Lung, Managing Director of HSDM said, “Most extended warranty programmes by a car brand are offered by premium and luxury car brands but we are offering this programme for Hyundai cars as we are confident of the quality of our vehicles and we want to help our customers maintain their cars longer with peace of mind,”

The programme yearly renewal will cost RM 1,280 with extended offers on internal and primary components of the vehicle's transmission system and other electrical components of the transmission, engine, motoring, and modular parts as well. It also covers complimentary part replacement and repairs.
