Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV debuts in the Philippines; Will Malaysia be next?
KUALA LUMPUR: So far this year, Hyundai has launched two models, the Creta and the new Palisade, in Malaysia. Among the two more cars that the Korean automaker is supposed to bring to the local shores in 2023 is the Ioniq 6 EV, which has just made its debut in the Philippines.

The Ioniq 6 is an all-electric four-door streamliner sedan based on the same E-GMP platform as the Ioniq 5. The Filipino-spec version of the EV is powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor that churns out a maximum power of 228 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm. In terms of performance, it runs from zero to 100 kmph in 7.5 seconds.

The electric motor is fed by a 77.4 kWh battery that lets the EV cruise up to 545 km on a single charge. The latter takes around 18 minutes for 10% to 80% SoC when using a 350 kW DC charger.
Against the measuring tape, the electric sedan measures 4,855 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height and spans a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.
