  • It sure looks different from any conventional car, in terms of design, features, and powertrain, of course. And so, we were a bit interested in knowing how well the new Hyundai EV has adjusted to the Malaysian market which is still in the early-mid stages of the electric vehicle becoming normal.

However, all our doubts vanished when Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) announced the first delivery schedule of the Ioniq 5. A batch 11 Ioniq 5 reached its destination (owner's home) from the Ara Damansara showroom. Now, the EVs will fulfill their destiny, i.e to serve the owner well, both in terms of commute and comfort.

Even before its launch, the Hyundai EV was successful in creating hype in the market. And the interest translated into actual figures, when HSDM opened the Ioniq 5’s booking, as the orders came flooding in, around 200 informed the dealers.

Overall, we won’t be wrong in saying that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is emerging as a success for the brand.
