“We are proud to see our owners’ active participation and the excitement to go beyond what the GWM HAVAL H6 HEV is capable of,” said Cui Anqi, Managing Director of GWM Malaysia. “These remarkable achievements have proven this hybrid-powered SUV’s capacity to achieve better fuel economy without compromising on vehicle performance.”
The challenge, which ran from January 20 to February 9, 2025, challenged HAVAL H6 HEV owners to test their vehicles’ fuel-saving potential under real-world conditions.

Koh’s winning distance is a great example of the SUV's capabilities to balance performance and efficiency.
Since its launch in October 2024, the GWM HAVAL H6 HEV has gained a surprisingly large interest in Malaysia, thanks to its ability to provide buyers with hybrid tech, a spacious interior, and comfortable driving dynamics.
The Haval H6 hybrid is powered by a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) system, which combines an internal combustion engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 243 PS and 530 Nm of torque.

With a claimed fuel consumption rating of 5.8L/100 km, it’s capable of covering over 1,000 km on a full tank.
With the rationalisation of RON95 fuel subsidies on the horizon, the HAVAL H6 HEV could stand out even further as a practical choice for drivers looking to maximise fuel savings without sacrificing performance.
Missed the first round? Don’t worry—the second round of the challenge is already underway from February 17 to March 9, 2025.
The top six participants in this round will receive petrol cards worth RM1 for every kilometre covered.
