Honda Malaysia recalls cars over precautionary safety issues

Here's the reason behind the recent Honda Malaysia recall -
As mentioned above, there are two different reasons behind the recent recall. As for the City and City hatchback, the recall is done as a precautionary measure to check the nut tightening on the ACG terminal of the powertrain harness. If compromised, the issue may lead to battery malfunction and poor contact terminal which in turn can lead to engine halt (while driving or starting after the car stops).
As for the HR-V and BR-V, the said recall is also being conducted as a precautionary measure. However, here the automaker will inspect the bolt tightening of earth grounding.
If remained uncorrected, it might lead to a loose wire harness which again can cause the engine to halt.

Any registered case of injury or accident or engine halt due to issue?
As of today, there are no known cases of injuries or crashes by the issue reported in Malaysia. Also, apart from the cars recalled no other unit (be it in production or for sale in the showroom) needs a precautionary checkup.
Owners of the affected units will be contacted by Honda Malaysia via a notification letter. The automaker also urges concerned customers to book an appointment with a Honda-authorized dealership for vehicle inspection and repair (if required).
Note, that the inspection, repair, and replacement charges will be covered by Honda.
