Platform
The Q6 E-Tron is based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, jointly developed by Audi and Porsche. "The PPE shows how we are pooling expertise within the Volkswagen Group and thus making electric mobility scalable. Thanks to the PPE, we can launch high-volume models with high technical standards in different segments and thus further electrify our portfolio," said Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi AG. The recently unveiled Porsche Macan also underpins the said architecture.
Dimensions
Against the measuring tape, the Audi Q6 e-tron measures 4,771 mm in length, 1,993 mm in width, and 1,648 mm in height and spans a 2,899 mm long wheelbase. Compared to the ICE-powered Audi Q5, it is 89 mm longer, 100 mm wider, and has a 67 mm longer wheelbase. The boot space is measured at 526 litres, which is expandable up to 1529 litres with the rear seats folded.
Drivetrain, Range, and Charging
The standard Q6 e-tron is equipped with a dual-motor setup that produces a maximum power of 387 PS. This allows the EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 210 kmph.
On the other hand, the high-performance SQ6 e-tron features a more powerful dual motor setup generating 517 PS of power. This results in a quicker century sprint of 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 230 kmph. Both models are mated to an all-wheel drive system. Regarding the entry-level rear-wheel drive versions, the automaker confirms that they will join the lineup at a later date.
In terms of battery pack, both Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron come with a 100 kWh unit offering a cruising range of 625 km. The battery can charge up to 270 kW with DC charging and 11 kW with AC charging. Using a high-performance charger, it can juice up from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes, thanks to its 800V architecture.
The Audi Q6 e-tron also supports bank charging, which means the 800-volt battery is "automatically divided into two batteries at equal voltage, which can then be charged in parallel with up to 135kW."
Exterior
The EV represents the brand’s latest design language with a sleek closed-off front grille, prominent front air intakes, and distinct crease lines along the wheel arches. Notably, it introduces innovative lighting technology with its split LED headlights, which boast the “world's first active digital light signature”. It comes with a strip of dimmable light elements capable of displaying eight unique signatures, offering a customizable and dynamic visual experience.
This advanced lighting system is complemented by the OLED tail-lights featuring 360 light segments that can change their image every 10 milliseconds. They come integrated with Car-to-X communication, enabling the vehicle to alert drivers behind of potential hazards detected ahead.
Interior
The all-new Audi Q6 e-tron features a brand-new interior concept known as the 'Digital Stage,' combining an 11.9-inch instrument display and a 14.5-inch touchscreen in a seamless curved panel, enhanced by ambient lighting for a floating effect in low-light conditions.
There is also a 10.9-inch touchscreen for the front passenger, which is equipped with an Active Privacy Mode to shield it from the driver's view during travel. The EV also features an augmented-reality head-up display and a premium Bang and Olufsen sound system. Upholstery options range from luxurious Nappa leather to sustainable materials like Dinamica microfibre and recycled fabrics.
The top-spec SQ6 variant sets itself apart with distinctive interior elements such as unique graphics, sport seats, and a red-accented start-stop button.
Safety
Packed with radar sensors, the front camera, and ultrasonic sensors, the EV offers advanced safety features and comprehensive driver assistance systems. The list includes -
- Adaptive driving assistant plus
- Rear parking assistance
- Cruise control
- Lane departure warning
- Efficiency assist
- Active front assist

Price
