Hennessey Heritage Edition Mustang launched for their 10,000th tuned vehicle celebration

KUALA LUMPUR: If you are into speed and racing, you will surely know about Hennessey Performance (HPE). The company since 1991, has been churning out amazing tuned cars which offer a lot of power and performance. Hence when the limited edition 2019 Hennessey Heritage Edition Mustang was recently presented, to celebrate its milestone on completing their 10,000th tuned vehicle, we were awed.

Inspired by the legendary Ford GT Heritage Edition, this special build up, starts from a stock Ford GT with a 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated Coyote V8 engine, which makes 460 hp and 570 Nm of torque. Here onwards, the guys at HPE will add a powerful 3.0-litre supercharger, an upgraded fuel pump and injectors. They will also add a high-flow air intake, an air-to-water intercooler, and a Cat-Back stainless steel exhaust system.

Now with all that performance upgrades, the engine makes 808 hp and 918 Nm, which is very high compared to the stock one. According to Hennessey Performance, the 2018 Heritage Edition Mustang can go from 0-96 kmph (0-60 mph) in just 3.3 seconds and with a top speed of 322 kmph it is really fast. If you put it in a drag race, it will do the quarter mile (0.4 km) in less than 10.7 seconds at a mindblowing speed of 212 kmph.

Brembo brakes takes care of the braking duties by using 15.1 inch disc with six-piston at the front and four-piston rear calipers. Handling is improved using the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres and a run on a chassis dyno calibration machine. Each car is thoroughly and rigorously tested for 322 km before it is delivered to the owners.

The 2019 Hennessey Heritage Edition Mustang does have visual impact. The red and white color combination does give it that sporty look. Apart from that, there is a carbon-fibre exterior package that will include a rear spoiler with gurney lip, a front splitter, and side sills as well. It has an attractive stance as it comes with huge 20-inch nine-spoke alloy wheels, that goes well along with the lowered suspension. There are minor interior changes, with each seat getting embroidered headrests, and a serial numbered dash plaque that can be found in the car’s engine bay.

The all new 2019 Hennessey Heritage Edition Mustang will only be available with special Race Red paint job with special white graphics. This special edition sports car is just limited to 19 units in all, and each would be costing close to around RM 367,220.
