GWM Haval Jolion launching soon in Malaysia, here’s what to expect

Great Wall Motors previewed not one, not two, but a total of three models at the 2023 Malaysia Auto Show, which are set to land on Malaysian soil this year. The list of the models includes two Haval SUVs - Jolian and H6 and the Cannon pick truck. We have already discussed the expected specifications of the H6 and Cannon, and now it’s time to know about the upcoming Haval Jolion in detail -

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • When will the GWM Haval Jolian launch in Malaysia?

The GWM Haval Jolian is likely to launch in Malaysia later this year.
  • What powers the upcoming GWM Haval Jolian?

The GWM Haval Jolian is likely to come powered by a hybrid system, comprising a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol unit and an electric motor producing a total system output of 190 PS and 375 Nm.
  • The Haval Jolian is a B-segment crossover SUV that was first introduced in 2020. Just like the Haval H6, it is also based on the brand’s “LEMON” platform known for its lightweight tech and great performance. The SUV comes in both pure ICE and hybrid forms globally; the latter made its world debut in Thailand in late 2021. The version of the Jolian displayed at the local show was also a hybrid one.

Here’s what we expect from this upcoming hybrid SUV to offer -

    Haval Jolion exterior

The Haval Jolion has a bold and athletic exterior design that captures attention wherever it goes. On the front lies a chunky Star Matrix grille, edged by distinctive full-LED headlights. The latter merges seamlessly with a massive triangular segment housing daytime running lights.

Also parts of the kit are the C-shaped LED tail lights, 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 225/55 profile tyres, chrome elements on the skid plate-esque trims positioned on bumpers, blue accents headlamps, and sunroof.
