Ford Ranger XLT Plus Special Edition launched in Malaysia; limited to 300 units

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the official distributor for Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has rolled out an all-new limited edition Ranger, called the Ford Ranger XLT Plus Special Edition. The new pickup truck is based on the XLT Plus variant and comes in a limited quantity, which is 300 units.

The limited-edition pickup comes with exclusive decals and enhanced features, offering a more premium experience. These include - 

• Matte Ranger Side Decal: On the sides, the pickup boasts a stylish vinyl sticker for a distinctive and bold appearance.

• Matte Sports Hood Decal: A sleek sports decal is positioned on the pickup’s hood enhancing its sporty look.

• Matte Black Fender Flares: While adding to the vehicle's look, the rugged fender flares protect the tyres and bodywork from debris and provide extra wheel coverage.

• Matte Black Sports Bar & Ranger Rear Decal: The rear end is kitted with a sports bar offering a solid platform to mount lights, flags, or other accessories. To further enhance the look, a Ranger rear decal is also added to the rear. 

• LED Ranger Scuff Plate: An attention-grabbing accessory added to the pickup’s interior is the LED Ranger Scuff Plate. It adds a touch of luxury while protecting the side sills from scratches.

• Pull-out Cup Holder: This convenient and space-saving feature that securely holds your drinks or small items while driving. It is available in a set of two for the driver & passenger side.

The special edition model retains the robust performance and capability of the XLT Plus. It is powered by the same 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine generating a maximum power of 210 PS and a peak torque of 500 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission paired with Ford’s Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly 4WD system.

The Ford Ranger XLT Plus Special Edition is priced at RM 143,888 (on the road without insurance). Those interested in checking this special model in person can visit the Ford Experience Hub at Setia City Mall, where the pickup truck will be on display till September 29.
