Ford Ranger T6 Facelifted Version Unveiled in Malaysia: Price Starts from RM91.5K

Kuala Lumpur: The facelifted version of Ford Ranger T6 has been unveiled in Malaysia in six variants - 2.2L and 3.2L. The 2.2L range starts with the baseline 2.2 XL manual followed by 2.2L XLT in manual/auto modes. The 3.2L range of facelifted Ford Ranger T6 includes 3.2L XLT in manual/auto mode and the 3.2L Wildtrak.

The refreshed pick-up comes with three Duratorq TDCi engine options. The P5AT 3.2 litre five-cylinder Duratorq TDCi engine produces 197 hp at 3,000 rpm and 470 Nm of torque at 1,750 to 2,500 rpm. It is facelifted with an EGR system for better efficiency. The ZSD-422 2.2 litre four-cylinder Duratorq TDCi engine now produces more power - 158 hp at 3,200 rpm and 385 Nm of torque at 1,600 to 2,600 rpm compared to 148 hp and 375 Nm of torque produced by the pre-facelift version. While the transmission of facelifted Ford Ranger T6 remains unchanged with 6R80 six-speed auto and MT82 six-speed manual mode, it gets electric power steering – thus becoming the first in the segment.

In terms of exterior, the facelifted Ford Ranger T6 now features a bold, chrome trapezoidal grille that looks pretty similar to the F-150 Raptor's in shape. It also gets brand new headlamps and bonnet with powerdrome strakes adorning the panel. In the interior, the curvy dashboard has been replaced by the edgier design highlighting horizontal lines. Also, there is a new steering wheel. The interior gets a urethane steering wheel, two-way manual adjustable front seats and a four-speaker single CD player audio system.
