Ford F-150 and Ranger gets official aftermarket lift kits

KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time, Ford Performance Parts is offering genuine aftermarket lift kits for Ford Ranger and Ford F-150 pickup trucks. Also, the off-road levelling equipment with tweaked suspension will be provided in the US by the end of this year.

This aftermarket kit will surely improve the approach and break-over angles, which will allow you to take your Ford pickup truck literally anywhere you want. According to sources, most of the F-150 and Ranger trucks are purchased with the all-wheel-drive system and this aftermarket levelling kit will surely permit the off-road enthusiast to get the most out of their pick up trucks, when it comes to off-roading.

Global director of Ford Vehicle Personalization and Accessories, Eric Cin, said “Ford Performance Parts developed these kits to make the off-road experience even better for our Ranger and F-150 customers. Truck customers are asking for options for increased capability and customisation, and the new levelling suspension kits for Ranger and F-150 deliver on that need.”

With increased ground clearance, one would require more exceptional off-road performance, and for that American multinational automobile manufacturer, Ford is offering Fox shocks for the F-150 and ranger, and this is the similar shocks that are used in the segment-leading off-roader, Ford Raptor.

The Fox shocks that are installed by the dealers will come with an aluminium body that are designed to offer sufficient cooling capacity while driving through rough terrain.

Ford Performance Parts equipment included in the kit are:

• A two-inch front lift
• New front coil-over springs
• Upper front mounts with polyurethane bushings

For the testing and development, these kits have gone through low-speed rock-crawling in Arizona and high-speed off-roading in California. The cost of the aftermarket lift kit is RM6,275 and comes with a limited warranty offered by Ford Performance Parts.
