KUALA LUMPUR: In several countries like Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, and also ASEAN countries, Ferrari operations are handled by Ferrari Far East. The authority recently confirmed that the partnership between Ferrari S.p.A and Naza Italia (Ferrari Malaysia authorized dealer) will end soon, April 8, 2023, to be precise.

Several companies running for the job including - Sunway Group, Sime Darby, and Berjaya Group.The news was confirmed by Ferrari Far East when a few Malaysian motoring media channels reached out for comments on rumors pertaining to Naza Italia losing its distribution rights.
Naza Italia in its press release said, “In the past few years, the NAZA automotive business had reviewed our brand mix to decide on what fits into our business strategy. We have agreed to conclude our relationship with Ferrari S.p.A (Ferrari) due to the non-alignment of their expectations to our strategy.”
“We will continue to provide support to Ferrari for a smooth transition of the business, towards April 2023. We would also like to express our appreciation to Ferrari for the long-standing business relationship and wish the Ferrari brand continued success in the future.”
Though Naza Italia will no longer be responsible for Ferrari cars distribution in Malaysia, it will continue to provide sales and aftersales services until a new distributor takes over completely.

- It has been Ferrari’s sole distributor in the country since 2008
- It is part of the Naza Group that previously sold Kia and Peugeot cars; currently, the group is the sole distributor of Suzuki cars and Maserati & Ducati motorcycles
