The Ferrari Purosangue is powered by a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine that is tuned to make a maximum power of 725 hp and a peak torque of 716 Nm.Ferrari refrains from classifying the Purosangue as an 'SUV' and describes it as the 'four-door, four-seat model.’ However, it will rival ultra-luxury SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, and Bentley Bentayga.
The four-seater car measures 4973 mm in length, 2028 mm in width, and 1589 mm in height, and spans a wheelbase of 3018 mm. The boot can accommodate 487 litres of luggage.
Under the skin of the new Ferrari model sits a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine that is tuned to make a maximum power of 725 hp and a peak torque of 716 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed oil-bath F1 dual-clutch transmission mated to a four-wheel drive system.
Among the advanced riding aids are - a dynamic control system, a new active suspension system using the multimatic’s true active spool valve system and a 48V electric active-roll damping system.
Performance-wise, the car accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in 3.3 seconds, zero to 200 kmph in 10.6 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 310 kmph.
In terms of design, the new Ferrari looks absolutely stunning thanks to its long hood, shapely roofline, and tight-fitting tail. The front fascia boasts a split headlamp arrangement for the upper LED daytime running lights with the main headlamps positioned lower down between large air ducts. Other key exterior highlights include - “floating” wheel arches, a carbon roof, rear-hinged doors, a rear diffuser panel, LED tail lights, and quad exhaust tailpipes.
The ‘sporty lounge’ of the Purosangue is different from many other cars as it has no central display, rather both driver and front passenger have their individual large display screen. The other key interior highlights include -
- Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility
- Mobile phone wireless charger
- Burmester 3D high-end surround sound audio system
- Heated front and rear seats
- Leather and upholstery
- Digital air-conditioning controls
Parts of the Ferrari Purosangue safety kit are - Adaptive cruise control, Automatic emergency brake system, Auto high beam, Lane departure warning, Lane keeping assist, Traffic sign recognition, Hill descent control, Rear-view parking camera, Driver drowsiness and attention, Blind spot detection and Rear cross traffic alert.
