Chrysler Airflow Vision Concept to be present at the 2020 CES
KUALA LUMPUR: The latest edition of the Consumer Electronics Show is about to get underway in Las Vegas. With automakers bringing innovations, new software and electrified versions of their cars to the show, one automaker that would be grabbing the majority of the visitors’ attention is Chrysler, with its sleek-looking futuristic Airflow Vision Concept.
Borrowed its name from the classic Chrysler Airflow from the 30s, the new Vision Concept is all tech, premium design, inside as well as outside. While the exteriors are clean and elegant, the interiors are free-flowing, depicting a new age of automotive design.
Highlighting the future design philosophy of the Chrysler, the concept gets slim front grille, sleek headlights, muscular wheel arches, wraparound taillights and a sloping roofline. The alloys seem to be a part of the car’s body integrated craftily for an athletic yet elegant appearance.
The cabin, on the other hand, is spacious and futuristic that focuses to offer relaxed riding experience. It gets a flat-load floor from the Pacifica plug-in hybrid that allows occupants to get their desired seating position by care-free stretching. The seats get the pedestal-like base that provides passengers with the freedom to store bags and other personal stuff easily.
Aside from the use of premium quality suede and fine leather, the cabin benefits from the UX infotainment system with crisp graphics and a wide-looking userfriendly interface. The system allows you to personalize settings and group according to the individual’s interests and needs.
While there is a separate screen ahead of the front passenger to which the driver can share information from the central display, the rear passengers also get their own display screens, information on which can be shared with co-passengers or even the driver by simply swiping.
The question of this concept seeing the light of the day remains unanswered. We believe it won’t make it to production, at least not in the near future. However, we expect the company to use some of its elements on other production Chrysler cars. We can see new Chrysler models to get styling upgrade based on this concept as well as high-tech UX system shown here.
You can get up and close to this new futuristic Airflow Vision Concept at the 2020 CES, which starts from Jan 7 to Jan 10.
