Check out R-Reforged’s take on the Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato
KUALA LUMPUR: A part of the title might not be self-explanatory to many, as R-Reforged is neither an automaker nor a car, rather an arm of the Swiss race team, AF Racing. As for Aston Martin V12 Zagato, it was the result of a collaboration between Aston Martin and Italian coachbuilder, Zagato. Bringing the pieces together, AF Racing has honoured the head-turner beauty by presenting the Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato Heritage Twins.
The word ‘Twins’ in the title indicates a speedster and coupe version of the Vantage V12 Heritage. The said car utilises the chassis as the Vantage V12 and drives on a 5.9-litre V12 mill that churns out a maximum power of 600 PS which is 90 PS more than the standard model and is possible due the Titanium exhaust and performance aluminium air intake.
Compared to the decade-old Vantage V12 Zagato, the R-Reforged version showcases several external tweaks, like -
- 10 mm lower ride height
- 20 mm increased track
- An aero wing
- New front splitter
- 19-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot 4S tyres
On the inside, the R-Reforged Vantage V12 Zagato looks premium covered in Grade A leather with bespoke patterns and textures. Also, part of the kit is a longer, sleeker windscreen and new carpet boot moulding.
The Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato Heritage twins are limited to 19 units each, with every car taking a team of twelve and sixteen weeks to assemble. Further, one coupe and speedster model will be part of the Zagato’s private collection.
