There was sure a time when they were considered as a luxury, but with time they have converted into a necessity. Be it travelling to work or vacation, a car is a must. The results obtained by the Picodi.com research team are full-proof as they have compared the statistics of Google searches of 64 car brands (from 2017-2021), including premium, mid-segment, and economy. Furthermore, the interactive infographic (the one you see below) created by them is self-explanatory and does the job perfectly.

So, what does the data tell? Which car brand is the most desirable in the APAC region? It's none other than Toyota.

Toyota Logo

The result didn't shock us even a bit, as the Japanese automaker enjoys great love even in the ASEAN region. Be it Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Brunei, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Laos PDR, Toyota is the go-to brand. The research even showed New Zealand and Australia's interest in the brand.

BMW Logo

The second most popular automaker in the region is of German origin, its BMW. The brand enjoys a massive fan base in eight countries including India, Japan, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Pakistan, and South Korea.

Lamborghini

The third spot in the list is shared by Tesla and Lamborghini.
While Tesla enjoys high popularity in China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The Italian manufacturer is preferred by customers in Nepal, Bhutan, and Cambodia.

TESLA

Occupying the fourth spot in another Japanese carmaker, Honda. It is the first name to pop into the mind of prospective car buyers in Bangladesh and Vietnam.
