BMW X1 xDrive and sDrive Unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show
Kuala Lumpur: The BMW X1 xDrive and sDrive have been unveiled today at Frankfurt Motor Show. Currently in its second generation, BMW X1 stands out with its dynamic proportions and clean body lines just like the other BMW X siblings. As compared to its predecessor, 2016 BMW X1 has grown 53 mm taller along with an increase of 36 mm in the front seating position to deliver a more commanding view of the road.

Further, there is also an increase of 37 mm in rear knee room along with a raise of 85 litres in the boot space which brings it to a total of 505 litres. This boot space can be further extended to 1550 litres with the rear seats folded down. A lot of additional features have also been provided in BMW X1. The equipment features include full-LED headlights, dynamic damper control, the BMW head-up display that projects driving-related information on the windscreen along with driving assist plus system just like the larger BMW X models.
BMW's xDrive system is a newly developed front-wheel Drive technology. It provides a notable increase in sportiness and ride comfort along with far greater efficiency. Talking about the X1 sDrive, it is the only model to receive a standard six-speed manual gearbox. It delivers a maximum power of 150 hp along with a peak torque of 330 Nm. Just like xDrive, BMW sDrive would also come as standard with front-wheel Drive.
