BMW Malaysia releases updated price list for 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: Like MINI, BMW Malaysia has also hiked up the prices of its models for 2023. While we have discussed the former in detail here, it is time now to focus on the BMW models' new prices.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Why did BMW Malaysia increased car prices for 2023?

BMW attributed the sudden increment in the prices to the ongoing global inflation and rising manufacturing costs of cars.
  • What all is BMW Malaysia offering with new, increased prices?

The new and high prices include the brand’s Service and Repair package with a 5-year vehicle warranty, and a 5-year unlimited mileage service package.
  • In its official statement, the automaker attributed the sudden increment in the prices to the ongoing global inflation and rising manufacturing costs of cars. However, the automaker assures the customers of models purchased in the year ahead to “enjoy more new feature enhancements”.

While almost every model in the BMW Malaysia lineup is affected by the price hike, however, a few models are able to skip the change. The list of models with unchanged prices includes - the entire BMW 3 series (320i, 330i, 330e, and 330Li), the X1 range (sDrive18i and sDrive20i), and the fully-electric iX3.

Let us now discuss the BMW models and the price hike they experienced this year -

    • The BMW M135i xDrive sees a 1.1% increase in price, it now retails for RM 375,800
    • The BMW 218i M Sport Gran Coupe experiences a 3.1% hike, the new price being RM 228,800
    • The BMW 630i GT M Sport now costs 2.8% now, new price tag reads RM 430,800
    • The BMW Z4 sDrive30i M Sport sees a 3.2% increase, it now retails for RM 492,800
    • The BMW 5 Series line-up sees a price hike ranging from 2.0-3.7%, the price range from RM 358,217 to RM 1,188,800
    • The BMW X models (X3, X4, X5, and X6) see a price increase between 1.6% to 5.8%, and the new price tag range from RM 296,950 to RM 736,800
    • The i4 and iX are affected by an inflated price tag ranging from 2.6-6.3%, the new prices range from RM 379,800 to RM 430,800

The new and high prices include the brand’s Service and Repair package with a 5-year vehicle warranty, and a 5-year unlimited mileage service package. For a lower sticker price, customers can opt for the standard 2-year warranty.
