BMW M5: What we like
The high-performance version of the BMW 5 Series sedan, the M5, is one of the most amazing super saloons in the market. It has set not only one but two Guinness World Records; one for the longest drift and the other for the longest twin-vehicle drift. This performance sedan made its debut in Malaysia back in 2018, the year for which it begged the award of World Performance Car. In today’s story, we are going to brief the things we like about this fast and furious BMW. So, let’s get started.
Punchy engine with quick acceleration
The BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4-litre V8 engine mated with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology that generates a whooping power of 600 hp at 5,600 - 6,700 rpm along with the tremendous peak torque of 750 Nm from just 1,800 rpm - 5,600 rpm. It sends the car blasting past the 100 kmph mark in just 3.4 seconds and 200 kmph in 11.1 seconds. Packed with this punchy engine, the sedan can hit a top speed of 250 kmph.
The V8's power is transmitted to the road via eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel-drive system that works with the Active M Differential and M-specific driving dynamics control. It also has a 2WD mode wherein all the power goes to the rear wheels. BMW’s Drivelogic system with three different response modes (Efficient, Sport, and Sport Plus) is also part of the kit.
Unbeatable driving dynamics
The BMW M5 chassis is designed for achieving unbeatable driving dynamics and maximum directional stability. It is fitted with sophisticated stiffening elements that not only ensure extreme rigidity but also instantaneous feedback. Its Variable Damper Control system comes with three modes to choose from - Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus, along with M-specific tuning and M Servotronic steering.
Also, part of the kit is M compound disc brakes with six-piston fixed calipers on the front and a single-piston floating caliper on the back. For more effective braking, the optional M carbon-ceramic brakes are also on offer.
Moreover, the vehicle’s M leather steering wheel gets two buttons - M1 and M2 that store two different sorts of settings; combining the driver's preference of engine, gearbox, suspension, M xDrive modes, the DSC mode as well as head-up display settings.
Impressive external look
Speaking about the looks, the hot sedan has a powerful presence on the road. It is crafted with that sophistication, which is beyond standard levels. With a low, ground-gripping profile and aerodynamic edge, the car has a slim structure. The front fascia hosts the distinctive new M kidney grille edged by adaptive LED headlights, which radiate forward-looking dynamics with daytime running lights. On the sides, there are wide fenders with 20-inch M light-alloy wheels. The strong and sturdy rear end of the car is kitted with stylish LED tail lights, rear spoiler, and turn indicators. BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line trim and a mix of M-specific items like bumpers and side gills are also part of the kit. Overall, the sedan gets heads turning wherever it drives.

The BMW M5 sedan offers thrills both inside and out. Its spacious interior is packed with a number of outstanding features, including
