BMW 2 Series to be Launched

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW announced to add one more series of car in its fleet, the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer, which is the first seven seater MPV car of the brand. This new 2 series is only available in a single variant, that is 220i Luxury. The price of the 2 GT is RM279,800 on-road without an insurance, but the company gives five-year, unlimited- mileage warranty with five year's free service.

Its engine is equipped with B48 2.0L with Twin Turbo, Four Cylinder, which emits 192 hp at 4,700 rpm and 280 NM between 1,250 – 4,600 rpm. The 218i Luxuary, which equipped with a six-speed manual transmission gear box, the 2 GT has an eight-speed Steptronic automatic gear box, which transfers its power to the front wheels of the car.

Inside the car, there is power seat with driver's side memory function, which is upholstered with Dakota leather. A 6.5 inch iDrive display with navigation, and seven speakers for the sound system, with high quality of the dashboard, whose sophistication is increased by admirable-wood trim and pearl chrome finish.

From the out, the 220i GT Luxury Line contains, BMW's standard halo ring light with LED projector lamps, kidney grilles graced up by using chrome, large front air intake and rear apron with ellegant exaust tip. The ventilated disc brakes are covered with 17 inch alloy wheels.

For the safety point of view, it carries six airbags, Dynamic Stability Control, Anti Lock Braking System, Dynamic Braking Control, and a child seat is also attached for the child safety. Additional features are also available such as- Smart opener for the powered tailgate, push button start-stop, automatic lights and wipers, front and rear parking sensor with reverse camera, dual zone automatic air con and second row air vents.
