Meet Bentley’s all-new ultra-exclusive GT, the Mulliner Batur
KUALA LUMPUR: At the recently concluded Monterey Car Week, Bentley previewed an all-new ultra-exclusive grand tourer, the Mulliner Batur. It is the latest creation by the brand’s in-house coachbuilding division Mulliner, which initiates a new phase of Bentley’s design language, to be incorporated into its future electric cars.

The Batur will be the last Bentley to get the brand’s 20-year-old 6.0-litre W12 engine. The mill has been re-tuned to generate a whopping power of 740 hp (80 hp more than the Continental GT Speed) and a peak torque of 1000 Nm. The power will be sent to wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
It will also come equipped with an electronic limited-slip rear differential, a 48V electromechanical anti-roll system, three-chamber air suspension, carbon ceramic brakes, and all-wheel steering.
Design-wise, the luxury coupe features a long and muscular bonnet paired with a large blacked-out grille, flanked by swept-back LED headlights. Adding to the front fascia’s functional styling are wide air dams and an air splitter.
Towards the sides, the car is equipped with flared wheel arches, customised 22-inch alloy wheels and ORVMs. The sleek LED tail lights, a retractable spoiler, and dual exhaust tips round off the distinctive styling of Bentley’s super-exclusive grand tourer.
The owners of the Bentley Batur Mulliner will be able to spec their car’s luxurious two-seater cabin the way they want. The automaker offers them a wide range of options, including premium Scottish and Italian leather upholstery, lacquered/painted wood and carbon fibre trims, sustainably produced leather, and also the 3D-printed 18-karat gold detailing.
The coupe will also feature a minimalist dashboard, a digital instrument cluster, and a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, ambient lighting, and multiple airbags.
