Bentley Bentayga prototype hits 301 km/h, claims to be “world fastest SUV”

Kuala Lumpur: Bentley has been teasing a lot lately, regarding it's all new SUV, Bentley Bentayga which is been claimed to be the fastest SUV in the world. The British manufacturer is releasing a series of videos to tease the car enthusiasts around the world, well it is a way of saying that the company means business by this car. Recently the company released another video which surprisingly proves the claim of being world's fastest SUV as the car hits a top speed mark of 301 Km/h. Unlike previously spotted pictures of the fastest SUV, this one looks different and claims to tow a 3.5-ton weight, this announces a heavyweight champion is soon coming on the ground.

The minute-long teaser video is sufficient to set straight all the claims the company has made so far. In the video we see a camouflaged Bentayga mule lapping a high-speed course at an “undisclosed location”, because the company is adding a lot of such elements with a spy movie background music to add more air of mystery to this car. Well, it will surely make it cooler?The major shot in this video is the car’s digital speedometer which, as expected, shows the prototype hitting a speed of 301 km/h.

Bentley Bentayga features a mammoth twin-turbocharged 6.0 litre TSI W-12 engine which is most likely to be the machine to push the Bentayga to its 301 Km/h top speed mark churning out over 600 hp and more than 800 Nm of torque. Which is expected to be followed with a V-8–powered entry-level model and plug-in hybrid variant.

The Bentayga, carrying Bentley's legacy will undoubtedly flex its pedigree by offering a luxurious cabin with plenty of space for luggage and a series of special-edition speed models making it a penthouse on wheels.
