KUALA LUMPUR: Globally introduced in 2021, the second-gen Toyota GR86 entered the Malaysian market with a bang last month and is offered in manual and automatic guises at a starting price of RM 295,000. While Malaysian enthusiasts are still not over with this striking Japanese small sports car, Toyota has announced a special edition of it in Australia.

The exclusive highlights of the GR86 10th Anniversary Edition include a special Solar Orange exterior paint, orange and black interior trims, black moulding on the instrument panel, orange accents on Ultrasuede/leather seats, and 10th Anniversary embroidery on door trims.
Equipment pack remains unchanged with LED intelligent adaptive headlights, LED DRLs, automatic high beam, 18-inch alloy wheels, electric fuel lid, and boot release, leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and start, 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, Wired Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, reverse camera, and a 6-speaker audio system.
The safety kit of the sports car also continues to feature the same advanced systems, including autonomous emergency braking, parking support brake with rear parking sensors, active cruise control, lane departure alert, and lead vehicle alert, seven SRS airbags, emergency brake signal system, vehicle stability control, and hill start assist.
The 2023 Toyota GR86 10th Anniversary Edition is powered by the same 2.4-litre naturally aspirated flat-four Boxer engine found on the standard version. The said mill churns out a maximum power output of 237 PS and a peak torque of 250 Nm. Sending power to the rear wheels is either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission paired with Torsen Limited Slip Differential.
