All of this is true for the RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback Performance models.
Let us now discuss the merits of Audi’s latest ‘Performance’ models in detail -
Powertrain
Audi has given a makeover to the existing 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, making it more powerful than before. The mill now gets enhanced boost pressure along with larger turbochargers. The resulting output reads 630 hp (+30hp) and 850 Nm (+50 Nm).
Transmission
The ‘Performance’ versions benefit from a re-tuned transmission unit. The 8-speed automatic gearbox now offers faster shifts and a noticeable personality change between drive modes. The car also gets a lighter and more compact center-locking differential.
In addition, both the RS 6 and RS 7 can now send as much as 70% torque to the front wheels and 85% to the rear wheels. This helps improve handling and reduce understeer.
