Aston Martin Valhalla bookings for 5 allocated units are now open in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Last month, Aston Martin unveiled the ultra-luxury, ultra-powerful, and ultra-expensive Valhalla hybrid supercar, which is now up for grabs in Malaysia. That’s true, Aston Martin Malaysia has just opened the Valhalla bookings for the allocated 5 units, out of which 2 have already been reserved.
This means only three units are available for purchase now, but at what price? The company has quoted an estimated figure of GBP 600,000 (approximately equal to RM 3.5 million), excluding duties and taxes.
Aston Martin unveiled the supercar’s prototype as a sub-Valkyrie model in 2019 and almost two and a half years later, the British automaker came up with the road-ready version. This ultra-powerful supercar is fitted with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and two electric motors, combinedly producing a whopping output of 950 PS and a peak torque of 1000 Nm. The engine is mated to an all-new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and an electronic limited-slip differential for great handling.
These output figures propel the supercar from zero to 100 kmph in just 2.5 seconds. And, as for top speed, the automaker quoted a mark of 330 kmph in hybrid and 130 kmph in electric-only mode.
Aston Martin Valhalla runs on exclusive Michelin tyres (20-inches in front and 21-inches at the rear). It also gets a carbon-fiber tub for stiffness and less weight. The suspension duties are taken care of by Formula One-style pushrod suspension in the front and multi-link suspension at the rear. Adaptive spool valve dampers and carbon ceramic 'Matrix' brakes are also parts of the kit.
In terms of design, the Aston Martin Valhalla gets a striking aerodynamic exterior that really challenges its rivals. About the supercar interior, not much details are available as of now. However, the automaker mentioned a few things, like a cockpit bigger than the Valkyrie, a new HMI system with the latest connectivity options, dual-zone automatic climate control, and blind-spot monitoring.
The production of the Aston Martin Valhalla is slated to commence in 2023.
