One-of-a-kind Aston Martin DBX ‘The One Edition’ in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The first SUV of the exotic British carmaker Aston Martin, the DBX, launched in Malaysia in October last month. And now here we see its customised hand-built unit called Aston Martin DBX “The One Edition” that carries a hefty price tag of RM 1.1 million (excluding duties and taxes).

The customization is in the veins of Aston Martin and this special DBX is the latest example of that. It signifies the synergy between sport and refinement.

What makes this special DBX ultra rare is the Concours Blue colour, which was first seen on the Aston Martin One-77. The automaker said: "After the announcement of removing the paint colour from DBX’s colour palette globally, we decided to spec the DBX with Concours Blue which makes it the one and only in Malaysia."

Besides the unique shade, the DBX The One Edition gets distinctive 23-inch forged Halo Diamond Turned wheels painted in Satin Black. These are said to be the largest and most striking wheels ever offered with an Aston Martin car. According to the automaker, these wheels provide the DBX ultimate high-performance capability.

Also part of the exterior kit is a sporty exhaust and Gloss Black package.

Inside this one and only DBX, we can see a duotone interior that is a fine blend of subtly detailed Oxford Tan and Onyx Black leather. Apart from that, it continues to feature a leather-wrapped multi-functional steering wheel, a full TFT instrument console, a touchscreen infotainment system, a U-shaped cluster for climate control buttons, and a wide transmission tunnel.

Powering the special DBX is the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged gasoline mill sourced from Mercedes-AMG. The engine kicks out a maximum power output of 548 PS and a peak torque output of 700 Nm. It is coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
