Aston Martin DB11 V8 launch - Only three days to go

KUALA LUMPUR: In June 2017, Aston Martin DB11 V8 celebrated its global premiere, and now this sporty four-wheel beauty is dropping Malaysian debut hints on the internet. A few hours ago, Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur posted a picture that showed the fender-limited profile of the V8 beauty along with the date 12.04.2018. Making it a clear sign of new DB11 arrival in the country.

It is not the first time for the Aston Martin DB11 in Malaysia, as back in 2016 the company introduced the said beauty with a V12 mill. Back then this car was available for RM2 million.

Things to know about Aston Martin DB11 -

• The new DB11 is powered by Mercedes-AMG supplied 4.0-litre twin-turbo unit.
• This V8 mill delivers lesser output than the ongoing V12 version.
• The new engine sitting under the Aston Martin hood produced a maximum output of 510 PS along with a peak torque 675 Nm.
• This time around Aston Martin has skipped the seven-speed dual clutch gear setup and instead paired the V8 engine with the new ZF eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

• The all-new DB11 can touch the 100kmph mark in just four seconds and has a top speed of 301 kmph. Making it slower by 0.1 seconds and 21 kmph in both the above-mentioned categories from the V12 powered DB11.
• Giving the V8 DB11 an edge over the previous generation model is its light body structure that weighs 1,760kg (115 kg lighter).
• The 2018 DB11 now features performance updates like retuned suspension, wet sump system, ESP software ensuring optimum driving dynamics, and striking engine mounts.

• On the exterior, Aston Martin has reduced the bonnet vents from four to two. Adding to its beauty are new alloy wheels and dark headlamp bezels.
• The cabin is designed by Aston Martin’s bespoke Q department. Most of the features remain same, and the car comes with an abundance of customisation options.
