And the award for ‘Most Beautiful Supercar 2022’ goes to …
KUALA LUMPUR: A panel of expert judges and influential motoring personalities at the 37th Paris Festival Automobile International awarded the Ferrari Daytona SP3 with the ‘Most Beautiful Supercar 2022’ title. And looking at its pictures, we can only nod along in appreciation.
Surely the Automobile Festival was graced by several beautiful machines but none attracted attention like the Ferrari Supercar, the Daytona SP3. From rounded figures to sharp edges, this Ferrari Supercar has all the elements in right-balance, reminding us of the yesteryear cars from the 60s and 70s.
In addition, the Grand Prize of Design went to Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari’s Chief Design Officer. So, that counts for a double treat for the Italian brand.
Celebrating the recognition Manzoni said, "These two important awards are indisputable proof of the levels of quality and #excellence reached by the #ferrari Styling Centre, which I have the privilege of leading, and of the sophisticated formal research carried out on the #Ferrari Daytona SP3."
Segmented under the limited-edition ‘Icona Series’, the Daytona SP3 is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 mill that pumps out a maximum power output of 830 hp at 9,250 rpm along with a peak torque of 697 Nm at 7,250 rpm.
Also, many aren’t aware that the Daytona SP3 is the first road-going Ferrari featuring a mid-mounted V12 powerplant since the 2002 Ferrari Enzo.
The jury also gave out several other awards, for instance, the DS 4 received the ‘Most Beautiful Car of the Year’ award, Renault 5 Prototype was elected as the ‘Plus Beau Concept Car de l’Année 2022’, i.e. 2022 Most Beautiful Concept Car with more than 70% of the votes, and the Renault SUITE N°4 (concept car born from the collaboration between Renault and French designer, Mathieu Lehanneur) was awarded the ‘Mention Spéciale’ (Honourable Mention of the Jury).
